REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Codelco on the Chilean and foreign antitrust aspects of its public-private partnership with Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM). This transaction is part of the Chilean Government’s National Lithium Strategy.
Hapag-Lloyd on the merger control aspects, both in Chile and across various jurisdictions in the Americas, related to the acquisition of Grupo SAAM’s port terminal and logistics businesses. This transaction was recognized with the “Regulatory Deal of the Year 2024” award by Latin Lawyer.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) on the merger control proceeding before the Chilean Competition Authority (FNE), related to its strategic global merger with PSA to create Stellantis. This transaction was recognized with the “Matter of the Year 2021” award by Global Competition Review.
Grupo Bimbo (Ideal) on an appeal before the Chilean Competition Tribunal (TDLC) of the FNE’s prohibition decision regarding Ideal’s acquisition of Nutrabien. The transaction was ultimately approved, becoming the first merger control case in Chile where a prohibition decision was overturned.
Nestlé, Midea, Teka, Renault, Geely, Thyssenkrupp, Maersk, Mitsui O.S.K., Amcor, Parex, Deutsche Post, DSV, Schenker, IBM, Mitsubishi Corporation, Enel, KKR, Patria, Brookfield Asset Management, LarrainVial, among others, on various merger control proceedings before the FNE, related to local and/or multijurisdictional mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
One of the defendants in the "casino case", a contentious proceeding before the TDLC and initiated by the FNE, concerning an alleged collusion among industry players.
Cencosud, Philip Morris, ISA, Roche, Masisa, among others, on several contentious proceedings before the TDLC, initiated by the FNE, consumer associations, or competitors.
Oracle, Esval, Cencosud, Mundo Pacífico, Andrómaco, among others, on non-contentious proceedings before the TDLC, initiated by the FNE, consumer associations, or competitors.
Various companies in the transportation, manufacturing, financial, retail, e-commerce, technology, pharmaceutical, energy, logistics, and mining sectors, in relation to several FNE investigations for alleged unilateral or coordinated anticompetitive practices.
