Counsel of Carey’s Intellectual Property and Information Technology Group. His practices areas are focused on intellectual property, infringement of intellectual property rights litigations, licenses, technology transference franchising, distribution and registration processes and invalidation of trademarks, patents and other industrial rights. He has vast experience on advising companies involved in pharmaceutical market (Life Science), on issues regarding the protection and defense of intellectual property assets, as well as regulatory matters concerning the pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics, medical devices and food products.

  • Novartis on a civil litigation for an invention patent infringement.
  • GlaxoSmithKline Chile on a legal claim before a civil court for fines imposed for an alleged violation of bioequivalence regulations.
  • Roche Chile on a lawsuit before the Public Procurement Court for an illegal awarding of a public tender.
  • Danone Chile on a defense against a sanitary investigation for a defect in a food product label.
  • Several pharmaceutical clients in relation to the effects of the “Ricarte Soto Law” regarding the financing of high-cost diseases.
