ANCI Approves the Final List of Operators of Vital Importance for the Second Stage of the First Qualification Procedure
The National Cybersecurity Agency (ANCI) has issued Exempt Resolution No. 187 approving the final list of Operators of Vital Importance (OIV) corresponding to the second stage of the first qualification procedure initiated in 2025.
The resolution includes 239 institutions operating in the fuel, drinking water and sanitation, transportation, public service concessions, social security and pharmaceutical production sectors, as well as additional entities from sectors already assessed during the first stage.
Key Highlights
- The second stage of the first OIV qualification procedure has concluded. The resolution establishes the final list of institutions qualified in the sectors covered by this stage.
- Additional critical sectors have been incorporated. Qualified entities include institutions operating in fuel, water and sanitation, land, maritime, rail and air transportation, public service concessions, social security administration and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Qualification is based on operational criticality criteria. ANCI assessed each institution based on its dependence on information systems and the potential impact of service disruption, considering factors such as the number of affected users, sole-provider status, redundancy, interdependence and strategic relevance.
- Additional entities from previously assessed sectors have been included. The final list also incorporates 84 institutions belonging to sectors covered during the first stage that had not previously been included.
- ANCI may continue qualifying additional institutions. The resolution confirms that further qualification procedures may be conducted under Law No. 21,663 and its implementing regulation.
