GyM turns to Carey for third Chilean buy
Rosie Cresswell
Less than one month after listing on the NYSE, Peru’s Graña y Montero has bought Chile’s DSD Construcciones y Montajes, turning to Carey for legal advice.
The construction and engineering company paid US$41 million to buy DSD from Ferrostaal, which turned to Bofill Mir & Alvarez Jana Abogados in Chile and Corvel LLP in Germany in the deal that closed on 13 August.
Graña y Montero regularly uses Carey for M&A deals in Chile, retaining the firm to invest in Ingeniería y Construcción Vial y Vives in November and when it first entered the country with its acquisition of Compañía Americana de Multiservicios (CAM) from Enersis in 2011.
