His practice focuses on administrative, constitutional and regulatory law, advising several national and international clients, as well as public entities and state-owned enterprises on all sorts of matters directly or indirectly related to the public sector in Chile, including concessions, public procurement, negotiation and development of public-private associations, litigation before Chilean administrative bodies, ordinary and special courts of justice, the Chilean Public Procurement Court and the Chilean Constitutional Court, legal defense against sanctions imposed by public entities, advice on sectoral regulations in various markets, regarding public policies and legislative matters, as well as issues related to the Chilean Transparency Law.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Asociación de Isapres de Chile on the preparation of a legal report on the scope of the Supreme Court's rulings, in the context of discussion of the Bill (Ley Corta de Isapres) that outlines the conditions under which the Isapres should reimburse payments to their affiliates.
  • Downlight, a Chilean lighting products company, on the regularization of the property permit of its headquarters, and other permits required by the Municipality of Renca.
  • Aeroinnova, a flight school focused on training commercial airline pilots, on an administrative investigation conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC), following a crash involving one of the company’s aircraft.
  • Junta de Vigilancia de la Primera Sección del río Aconcagua, an association located in one of the main rivers in the Chilean central valley, on the preparation of challenges before the General Comptrollership, due to the unequal distribution of water carried out by the General Water Bureau (DGA), which caused significant losses in its irrigation capacity.
  • Compass Group on a bidding process to develop the infrastructure of the service areas for the Penitentiary Establishment of Talca, a state-of-the-art prison in South America with a capacity for more than 2,000 inmates, and whose concession is estimated to last 15 years.
