His practice focuses mainly on civil and commercial litigation, national and international arbitration and insolvency proceedings, including reorganization and liquidation.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
- A relevant energy generation company on its sucessul defense against a lawsuit for breach of contract regarding the construction of a wind farm, for USD20 million.
- Codelco on its successful defense in a trial in relation to the exercise of termination clauses without expression of cause.
- Fantástico Sur on its defense against a lawsuit filed by the Chilean Treasury, related to the claim of constructions and land adjacent to the Torres del Paine National Park.
- An international hotel chain on an international commercial arbitration based in Chile, for breach of a management contract under the "Hotel Management Agreement" modality.
- CorpGroup and its subsidiaries, CorpGroup Banking and Compañía Inmobiliaria y de Inversiones SAGA, among others, on the restructuring of their liabilities, including 144A Notes issued under New York's law and secured and unsecured bank debt, in a Chapter 11 proceeding before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court; as well as on a number of related litigation and direct renegotiations of debts.
- A Chilean agricultural company on its defense against a lawsuit for breach of a machinery lease contract subject to the Law of the State of Colorado, USA.
- Various construction companies and principals on arbitration and ordinary trials for the construction of port infrastructure projects, power generation plants and homes, under the modalities of lump sum, EPC and EPCM construction contracts.
