On October 19, 2020, the amendments provided in Exempt Resolution No. 869 came into effect, modifying Exempt Resolution No. 591 of 2020, of the Ministry of Health, providing the following:
- 1. People who enter the country, regardless of the country of origin, must comply with the quarantine measure for 14 days. This measure will be indefinite, until epidemiological conditions allow its suspension.
- People who have a negative result of a PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 will not be bound to comply with the quarantine. If the test has been carried out abroad, it must be taken not before 72 hours from the moment of entry to Chile. The test carried out abroad must be taken by a laboratory recognized by the health authority of that country.
The request for exemption from quarantine must be made upon arrival to the country, before the authorities of the Ministry of Health and has immediate effect.
