Carey has helped Banco de Crédito e Inversiones (BCI) acquire Walmart Chile’s credit card businesses for US$148 million.

Walmart enlisted Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (Chile) for the deal, which was signed on 19 December.

BCI’s acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2018, pending approval from Chile’s superintendence of banks and financial institutions and the country’s antitrust authority.
