Carey and Arteaga Gorziglia in telecoms acquisition financing

Carey has helped UK media company IMD Group obtain a US$70 million loan for the acquisition of a Chilean telecoms provider. HSBC was lender and enlisted Arteaga Gorziglia for the transaction. It is thought that Hogan Lovells LLP also advised the banks, but this could not be confirmed prior to publication.

IMD will use the funds to buy Transmisión y Almacenamiento.

The deal closed on 30 August.
