Carey seals water services loan in Chile

Carey has helped state-owned Banco del Estado de Chile provide a US$66 million loan to local water utility company Nuevosur.

The borrower was advised by in-house counsel. The deal closed on 8 September.

Nuevosur provides water services in Chile, including water purification, storage, distribution, sewage and wastewater decontamination.

It operates in the Maule region, south of Santiago, and is headquartered in the region’s capital Talca.
