His practice focuses mainly in corporate and business law, foreign investment, international transactions, customs and international trade, telecommunications and media law, regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, and direct selling matters.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • British Telecom on all the legal and regulatory matters related to the provision of telecom services in Chile.
  • Motorola on its spin-off into two listed companies and subsequently, Motorola Solutions on the sale of its network and infrastructure business to Nokia Siemens.
  • NII Holdings on the local implementation of a global corporate reorganization plan.
  • Aegis Media Americas on the acquisition of the media agency Triángulo Publicitario.
  • Synovate, subsidiary of Aegis Group, on the acquisition of Cima Group, a market research company, in Chile and five other Latin American countries.
  • Jardine Lloyd Thompson on the acquisition of a majority interest in the parent company of Orbital Corredores de Seguros.
  • RailCommon on a public bid called for the sale of a track warrant software system called by Empresas de Ferrocarriles del Estado, a state owned railroad company.
  • Several multinational direct selling companies on the development of their business in Chile.

ACTIVITIES AND MEMBERSHIPS

  • Lawyer, Legal Affairs Division of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, advising dispute settlement panels in international disputes related to international trade law (2017-2018).
  • Trainee, Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission (DG Trade) in Brussels, participating on negotiations of plurilateral and bilateral trade agreements of the European Union (2014–2015).
  • Teaching Assistant of Private Law, Universidad Austral de Chile (2005–2006).
  • Member of the Cambridge Society of Chile (since 2015) and director of the same (since 2016).
  • Member of the Chilean Bar Association.
